Summer Part 2

We have had such a fun summer!  I am going to be soooooo sad to go back to work after having all of this quality time with little Miss Emma!  We have had lots of play dates, went to the zoo, and we now have a new cousin/nephew: Tommy!!  Here are some pics to show you all the fun:

 ZOO

This little green snake and Emma played for about 10 minutes.  She was giggling as it followed her hand along the glass.

10 months

Emma turned 10 months old in England!  So we have some special guests with her in her blog this month- Grandma and Grandpa Mullen!  She can now say she has been to Scotland, England, and Wales... a world traveler!  She did an excellent job on both of our 13+ hour traveling days.  I think I say this every month, but it is incredible how much she has changed in just a month!  She is crawling everywhere, pulling herself up on everything, and cruising around on the furniture and cabinets in every room!  We have had to do some major baby proofing!  She also is continuing to make lots of sounds and trying to talk more and more.  She also has a new grin showing all of her 8 teeth!

Europe 2012- First Stop: Edinburgh, Scotland

Our trip will be done in 3 separate posts... first will be Edinburgh, Scotland.
What a beautiful place with such history!  Our first day there we met up with the Mullen's for a much overdue visit.  We took a nice drive to the shore and walked around the city and had a lovely dinner spent catching up.  Then the next day we headed for Edinburgh Castle to go exploring.  We then had a lovely lunch at a pub where some enjoyed some traditional food (Haggis, Neeps, and Tatties... which is sheep's heart and liver with turnips and potatoes.)  Then we went to St. Giles' Cathedral and going to the top of the
Scott Monument.
